West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) has  issued a recruitment notification for filling up of 1546 vacancies of  Assistant Professors and Librarians posts in various subjects in  different Government-aided Colleges.

A. Assistant Professors (in General Degree Colleges): 1435posts
B. Assistant Professors (in B.Ed/B.Ed. Department of Colleges): 20posts
1. Education: 03posts
2. English: 03posts
3. Geography: 03posts
4. History: 02posts
5. Mathematics: 02posts
6. Physical Education: 01post
7. Psychology: 01post
8. Life Science: 04posts
9. Physical Science: 01post
C. Librarian : 91posts

Age Limit : Candidates age limit should Maximum age is 37 yrs as on 01/01/2012. 
Note:-Age Relaxation will be extended as per govt rules. 


Educational Qualifications :- Candidates  should have done Master's Degree in relevant subjects with B.Ed, M.Ed from any recognized University and should also passed the eligibility Test in SLET/SET for all posts. Kindly refer the official notification for 
complete details. 


Application fee : -
1. General Candidates need to pay Rs. 1000/-+ Rs. 50 of Bank Charges.
2. SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH Candidates need to pay Rs. 500/-+ Rs. 50 of bank charges.

Pay Scale :- Pay Band – Rs.15, 600-39,100/- + Academic Grade Pay of Rs.6000/-.
