Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is a body created by The Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Association. COMEDK organizes post Graduate Entrance Test for students looking forward for the admission in post graduate courses of Dental and medical studies. In this exam only members of COMEDK body will participate and accept its grade. To become associate or a part of COMEDK is a subjective matter that depends on availability and approval from Medical Council of India/ Dental Council of India.
Eligibility criteria:
• Applying candidate should have cleared his/her MBBS/ BDS exam from a recognized institute or university.
• To be eligible for 2013 entrance exam, candidate should have completed one year internship period before 30th April 2013.
• Applicant should be registered with Medical council of India, Dental Council of India or State Council.
Exam pattern:
• COMEDK PGET exam is a multiple choice objective type of exam, based on four papers physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics.
• There is a unite paper for physics and chemistry. Every candidate appearing for MBBS and BDS courses will have to answer this section. There will be 60 questions individually from both the subjects (total 120 questions) that have to be answered in 120 minutes.
• Candidates applying for B.E. will have to face mathematics exam.
• Candidates applying for MBBS / BDS will have to compulsorily attend biology questions.
• There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
• Id card will be generated at the time of exam and any other identity proof will not be accepted by COMEDK standards.
