UGC (University Grants Commission) conducts NET (National Education Testing) twice a year. UGC has already conducted NET once in June and the result was declared on 18 September 2012. Many candidates protested against UGC‘s unfair exam cut off and selection criteria. We also wrote an article on “What should you do if you feel cheated by UGC”.

EXAMINATION FEE :
General Candidates:-Rs.450/-
Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on website : www.ncbc.nic.in )
:-Rs.225/-
SC/ST/PWD candidates:-Rs.110/-
NOTE:-The candidate is to fill the Bank Challan Form in triplicate (Bank Copy, UGC Copy & Candidate’s Copy) as given in the Notification.
Educational qualification:-Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of JRF/Lectureship eligibility only after they have passed their Master’s degree examination or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PWD (Persons with disability) category candidates). Such candidates must complete their P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
Now, many candidates are waiting for UGC NET December 2012 exam‘s notification and application form. UGC has not released any notification regarding NET December 2012
exam till now. We will update here as soon the application forms for UGC NET December 2012 are available online.
